Growing media company in Vaughan, ON, currently accepting applications for a financial copy editor/proofreader for web content (financial and business news/opinion).

This position is full time with salary, a comprehensive benefits package, and the potential for a bonus. Core office hours are 8:30 to 4:30, Monday to Friday. The office is located in Vaughan, so the candidate must be willing to commute daily.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Minimum one to two years of professional copy editing experience (essential)
• Familiarity with web content (experience in this area highly preferable)
• Basic WordPress experience (essential)
• Professional proofreading experience

• Some basic SEO knowledge/experience
• Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline
• Basic math skills
• Excellent attention to detail and quality
• Ability to ensure deadlines are met without sacrificing quality
• Multitasking skills and ability to deal with changing priorities
• Research skills
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Good general communication and office skills

A keen interest in or work experience with content related to the stock market or business/economic news would put you ahead of the crowd.
